On October 31st the District at Green Valley Ranch had its annual Halloween Trick or Treat even. I was dressing my granddaughter in her Halloween costume while she was twirling and singing (shouting actually) “Trick or Treat, I get candy, I get candy!”  She was impatient and adorable in her little sparkly blue Elsa costume (princess from the movie Frozen). “Grandma I ready to trick or treat

lets go bye bye”. Kendra urged.Once we arrived at The District a giant scary spider in a spider web was greeting us. Kendra squeeled,"Look a spidey, oh no! Don't let it get me Grandma"! Kendra was very excited to go get lots of candy however she was very shy when it came time to say trick or treat. All the employees in The District stores were very kind and helped her come out of her shell. The main street was decorated with lights, giant spiders, goblins and covered in fog. Kids trick or treated all the stores and received free candy. A DJ was playing family friendly Halloween music with lots of interaction with the crowd and there were costume contests for both children and family categories. The Henderson Fire Department was on hand to greet the kids and show off their fire truck. Radio station 94.1, Findlay Auto, Sams Club, Kevin Janison from News 3 Local Las Vegas and King Putt mini golf and laser tag center in Henderson were some of the sponsors there to support the event.

Ernie and I have raised two children in Henderson and been to many local events. Now we have a granddaughter (Kendra) that we get to enjoy the local events like the holiday tree lighting with santa, outdoor family movies on the green, Henderson stroll and roll and the farmers market. We love the small town feel and big city amenities that the Henderson, NV area has to offer.

Just Sold Luxury Distressed Property in Las Vegas/Henderson Nevada

On September 23rd The Gonzales Team, Henderson, Nevada Short Sale Listing Specialists, helped another distressed client close a short sale in Las Vegas, Nevada. A short sale is when the homeowner owes more than market value.

The property located on Orkiney was listed by The Gonzales Team of Henderson, Nevada on July 7th 2014. However prior to the Gonzales Team, the seller had the property listed with another real estate company for over a year. During that time the other real estate company was not negotiating with the sellers bank and the seller plunged into distress. Once the Seller canceled the listing and listed with The Gonzales Team of Henderson, Nevada they were able to discover through their systems that the bank was going to foreclose on the seller within days. The Gonzales Team used their negotiating skills to successfully get the foreclosure date postponed for 3 months. The Gonzales Team was able to negotiate with Chase Banks Nevada Foreclosure Attorney and close in a record 14 days from approval from the bank and 79 days from listing. The property was listed for $1.225,000 and closed for $850,000. Chase Banks Nevada Foreclosure Attorney, was paid in full and the 2nd mortgage, Citi-mortgage, took a short pay with no deficiencies. We were able to close the property at a distressed sales price because Chase could only accept the current balance due of the mortgage and late payment charges. The Seller did not pay any fees for the buyer to close this short sale and The Gonzales Team was able to save them from foreclosure.
